GetFacts Training Outline and Toolkit

EAVI is the expert partner in the "Get Your Facts Straight!" project coordinated by All Digital. Together with partners, we have developed a training programme for a 15h training course for 14-16 year old students and their parents and grand parents (5 hours for young people, 5 hours for adults, and then 5 hours mixed group). The course can be done both in schools, as well as in non-formal educational settings such as youth clubs, libraries, NGOs. London 13 July, 2018 EAVI was lucky enough to be invited to attend UK digital watchdog, Ofcom's annual Adults' Media literacy Event in London. The event began with presentations by Jessica Rees, who explained Ofcom's adult media literacy tracker when looking at the digital divide - namely, those who are online and those who are not. MyStory: Media, Migrants & Refugees

The #MyStory: Media, Migrants & Refugees project was an initiative to raise awareness, promote discussion and assist journalists, migrants and refugees and the organisations working with them, to contribute to improve the media narrativesĀ of displaced peoples in a fair way. #MyStory Final Event. Media (Literacy) and Refugees.

The final event for the My Story Project took place in Brussels on 5 December 2017. Ā  Ā  The full-day event was divided into two sessions. In the morning session, EAVI and My Story partners from Hungary, Slovenia, Germany, Italy, France and Greece shared their experience and contributions to the project, including audiovisual material and a Dos and Donā€™ts Guide for journalists. #MyStory: New Feature Documentary – Dissecting Journalism

#MyStory partner, TheĀ Hungarian Moving Image and Media Education AssociationĀ has released their latest documentary for the #MyStory project, Dissecting Journalism. The film documents the event the association organised in Subotica, Serbia where a refugee camp has been set up on the Hungarian border. The event involved journalists, refugees and locals from Subotica and explores journalism about migrants and refugees through the lens of media literacy.

Interview: Children of Media Project in Croatia Wins Prize for Media Literacy
