The European Commission commissioned the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona to conduct an investigation of the current trends of media literacy in Europe.

The purpose of the study was to provide the European Commission with an overview of the models and trends that would enable recommendations for action to be set. To this purpose, the study focused on presenting the keys to ML today, its strong points, its critical aspects, the variety of models and strategies involved in its development, its areas of innovation and the challenges facing it.

EAVI has contributed to this study in particular analysing and drafting the pan-European Chapter and elaborating case studies on the subject.
