| EAVI organized the EAVICamp the 23rd of October in Modena, Italy, in collaboration with the Linux-Day 2010. The theme of the MediaCamp was 'Active Citizenship through Media' and the aim was to collect the opinions of citizens whose voices are not normally heard. The MediaCamp, was a user-generated conference, an open, participatory workshop-event, and the content was provided by the participants. There were three presentations and broad headings that inspired the debates and discussions:
1. Shared experience: from Open Source to Open Content 2. I write a BLOG as I am a citizen: User Generated Content and Citizenship 3. Security, Curiosity & Relevance: the need for Media Literacy.
