EAVI is actively present - as an organiser, speaker or rapporteur - in many international conferences on media-related topics (namely in Zagreb, Fez, Arles, Strasbourg, Belgrade Novi Sad, Brussels, Ljubljana, London, etc.).

The aim in taking part in such conferences is to advance EAVI’s work, find partners and ideas for new common projects, and to increase its visibility and hence potential capacity to influence media policy at European level.

The International EAVI Conference is traditionally held at National Senate Houses in order to ensure high visibility. It also encourages participation from representatives from the EU and international institutions, as well as media experts from the industry and civil society.

Furthermore EAVI participates actively in three experts groups: the Council of Europe Working Group of Specialists on Public Service Media in the Information Society, the European Commission Media Literacy Expert Group and the European Commission Group on Active Citizenship.
