| EAVI is run by a small dynamic team based in Brussels. The EAVI team is multicultural and enthusiastic and each member brings his/her own special interest, experience and ability to the association. EAVI develops, coordinates and launches projects and civil society initiatives, enhances its existing network of players in the field, participates actively in studies and researches. From Brussels we also ensure the smooth running of daily activities, administration, ICT, communication, fundraising, calls for proposals, etc.
Paolo continues in his role of coordinating, developing and consolidating the association.
Agnes Bruszik, Scientific Advisor and Project Manager Agnes received her education at the University of Debreen where she graduated as a Molecular Biologist and as a special translator of English. She spent 11 years as manager of European-scale projects, mostly in the field of localization, European nature conservation policy development. Currently she is a PhD scholar at the Central European University. Since 2010 she has been involved with EAVI as an advisor for its scientific research projects and as project manager.
Irena Panayotova, Office Manager Irena joined EAVI in May 2011 as Office Manager. She is responsible for the overall organisation of the Brussels office activities. Irena’s duties include management of finances and personnel, liaising with authorities, organisation of conferences and other events. She contributes to the EAVI research activities, development of studies and participation in expert groups. She holds a Master’s degree in International Security from the Institute of Political Science in Paris, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and European Affairs (Honours) from the American University in Bulgaria. Irena bears a particular interest in the role of media in transition democracies.
Marta joined EAVi in October 2011 for a six month traineeship. She graduated from Universita' Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan in February 2011 with a Bachelor degree in Political Science and International Relations and is currently enrolled in a Master's degree in International and European Relations. At EAVI she is responsible for helping coordinate EYAG (Youth Advisory Group), maintaing EAVI's online presence, monitoring of calls for proposals within EU institutions and attending relevant committees of the European Parliament.
