Maria Lina MARCUCCI is the Managing Director of ULTIMA, a communication and business research company based in Lucca (Italy) and the founder of CAMPUS (Studi sul Mediterraneo), a non-profit association promoting experimental learning activities. Formerly Vice President of the Tuscan Region and Regional Minister for Culture, Communications and Entertainment, she has also been active in the broadcasting sector in the management of Superchannel, a Pan European satellite and cable television station, from 1988 to 1993 as well as of Videomusic, the Italian music television station - the first in Europe - which she founded in 1984. Marialina is founding member of AIWA (Arab Italian Women Association) that promotes dialougue between the two cultures. Since 2005 she is also founding member and President of the Robert F. Kennedy Foundation of Europe Onlus.
José Manuel PÉREZ TORNERO is Professor of Education and Communication at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Director of Research of the Department of Journalism and Communication. He also acts as assessor and expert for UNESCO in academic subjects: Public Television and Media Education. He is a specialist in communication and education and strategic communication, and he has led applied research work and information campaigns in this field.
Marco RICCERI is Secretary General of EURISPES, one of the leading research institutes in Italy specialized in economic and social studies. He is also Professor of History of European Integration at the Link Campus University of Malta in Rome. Former director of the legislative office at the Parliamentary Groups at the Chamber of Deputies in Italy and member of the national Council of the Italian Journalists Association, he has a large number of publications on European social policies, unions initiatives and citizens participation processes.
Paolo CELOT is founding member and secretary general of EAVI. Over the last twenty years he accumulated a significant experience in the fields of media working for long periods in London, Milan and Brussels. Paolo collaborated with private and public broadcasters (including the BBC and RAI) and with various public institutions. He is an economist and a European affairs advisor specialised in the media sector. An expert of media literacy for the European Commission, member of the Public Service Media group for the Council of Europe and a member of the Active Citizenship Group for the EC. He has written many articles and contributed to publications on media and citizens related issues. |
